FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Wedding Videography/Event Videography

Do you use wireless microphones at the ceremony?

Yes. We always put a lavaliere microphone on the groom. We will also mic a podium, if available.

How many cameras will you have at my ceremony and reception?

We film with Two 4K UHD cameras at the ceremony and reception, for all of our regular packages. One camera packages are available by request.

Do you film weddings outside of the Greater New Orleans, Baton Rouge, or Biloxi Areas?

Absolutely! There will be a charge for travel, if you are more than 1 hour away from our home office, in Madisonville. Please contact us for more details.

Can we choose what music is used in our video?

Yes! We allow you to choose a few songs for your Highlight Film. However, due to copyright laws, it must be a song that we can obtain the music license to. Glass Slipper Films currently has a contract with the websites songfreedom.com, and soundstripe.com. All song selections must be chosen from that site.

How long will it take to receive our wedding video?

Please allow a minimum of 16 weeks to receive your finished product. However, most people will get their final product sooner.  All Instagram Films will be posted online, as soon as they are ready, after the wedding date. Highlight Films, Instagram Films, and Documentary Versions will be included on your Blu-ray or USB. Highlight Films will also be posted online, for easy sharing.

Will you be using any lights at our wedding?

We have 2 lights that we put on 10 ft. stands., only if your venue is too dark for us to get the proper video quality. Because these lights are high in the air, this will not ruin the ambiance of your venue or blind your guests. In our experience, they are mostly used in a low-light or candlelit environments, and most often used during the reception. We seldom need to use them during your ceremony. Please feel free to contact us, if you have any additional questions.

How many weddings do you book in a day?

To keep our turn-around time reasonable, we only book one wedding per weekend. We also book a limited number per year and per month, for the same reason. We recommend that you book your dates early, as we do close out months, when we reach our maximum for that month.

What's the difference between the Highlight Film and the Documentary Film?

The Documentary Film is the long form, edited version of your wedding. You will receive footage from the ceremony and reception. This version is NOT a summary of your event, but the actual footage from the beginning of the ceremony to when we leave the reception.

The Highlight Film is an artistic form, from the events of your special day. The version is typically between 5-20 minutes,  depending on package, and includes any extras included in your package.

Can I purchase additional hours?

Additional hours can be purchased, but they must be done so in advance. Please see our additional options, located under "Pricing".

How do I go about booking your services?

Booking Glass Slipper Films is easy! First, please contact us, or CLICK HERE for availability. A $500 non-refundable retainer fee is required for us to hold your date. This amount goes towards the purchase price, and the balance must be paid in full 14 days before your wedding date. We accept all forms of payment, and you can pay and book us online.

What if I need to postpone my wedding date?

We do charge fees to change your wedding date. There is a $300 non-refundable change fee, to offset our loss on your original date, and must be paid upon booking the new date. If our pricing has increased since you first booked, you would also be responsible for that extra cost. You will also need to sign a new contract, for your new date. Please note that changing your wedding date is subject to our future availability, and your original retainer fee is non-refundable if you choose a future date that we are not available. Thanks for your understanding.

Do you only film weddings?

We film all types of special events, such as weddings, dance recitals, and parties. If you have an event that you need filmed, please contact us for a quote.
